CDISS’ Space Security Programme will be hosting a conference on international space security in March 2007. The conference will be run in collaboration with the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (IDSA), which is based in New Delhi, India. IDSA, established in 1965, is considered to be the premier strategic and security studies think-tank in India, and is frequently utilised by the Indian Parliament’s Standing Committee on Defence.

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is the leading research organisation for defence related matters. Consisting of a network of over 51 laboratories, the Department of Defence organisation boasts a broad-based research programme occupied with the development of a number of defence technologies comprising a number of disciplines, including: aeronautics, armaments, aeronautics, combat vehicles, engineering systems, instrumentation, missiles, advanced computing and simulation, special materials, naval systems, life sciences, training, information systems and agriculture.
