Introduction | Events | Research | Publications | Internet | Advisory Board As part of its commitment to develop debate about the implications of the new security environment, The New Security Programme has arranged a programme of events and conferences, which will bring together leading figures from international business, government and academia. The events will focus on some of the major security issues affecting government, business and civil society. The New Security Programme's programme of conferences in 2005 / 06 includes:
In addition, The New Security Programme arranges a programme of seminars, discussion dinners and meetings on a range of topics. These are sometimes co-hosted by international partner organisations with which The New Security Programme is linked. Recent events included a dinner discussion, co-hosted by the French High Committee for Civil Defence, on 'improving security cooperation' between senior security directors of major British and French companies. The dinner resulted in the establishment of an Anglo-French Business and Security Working Group.
The New Security Programme will also co-host a series of discussions about emerging new security issues with New York University's Center for Catastrophe Preparedness and Response. The first meeting, 'Roundtable at NYU: The International Homeland Security Coordination Council,' will take place in August 2005.
